Summer of Boarding

Throughout this year I have been taking a lot of Boating trips to Milerton Lake, My buddy John and I were going out prob once or twice a week all summer long. It was great fun. Wakeboarding has been so much fun to do. We have had so many fun experiences. Anywhere from wakeboarding 2 people off of the boat. So much fun to have two people on boards at one time, spraying each other with water, Jumping the wakes one right after the other. Its also a lot easier to learn tricks when you see what to do right in front of you.

We also had fun jumping off the boat Seal Team Style boat doing 20-40 mph along the water and jumping off. I did that until I got a concussion one time and I said that is good for me for the summer. Another day we went out and I hit the water so fast and so hard that my eye was litterally swelling out of its socket. John took a look at that after boarding for a while and told me to close my eye. Next thing I knew John was pushing my eye back in to place. That was a really weird day for me. We kept on boarding though, I figured if I can still see straight with one eye, I could still drive the boat for John. We are still going out, just not as often with the cold weather.
"Fun with the little guys at the lake"

Ive also joined GB3 and have been going to the gym regulary in the afternoons. It feels great to workout. Ive lost 18 pounds so far. Lets see how many more I will go.

Oh and the latest adventure was last Wednesday for Veterans day we went shooting, We figured its what they would want us to do. We brought out the big guns. A .40 cal and a .45 handgun. a 12 gauge shotgun, a .308 and a Mini 30 We had a blast up at redinger Lake. After awhile at the lake we decided to change things up a bit and go shoot an old bath tub. We got out there and John heard some sort of groaning noise it sounded like and some scurring in the bushes so he got the rifle and went out there, trying to figure out what it was. Came to a area of thick bush so he turned around told me to get a gun and follow him and keep an I out to the side. We got about 10 feet from this bush and we heard a growling purr. At that point we both decided since we still couldnt see it but could hear us and it could see us that it was time to back away slowly. We also told the girls to get back in the truck. Once at the bottom of the hill and next to the truck we both looked at each other and decided it was time to get a look at the little fella.
So both of us got rifles and loaded them and had extra rounds with us, and then got our handguns in our holsters and went to the other side of the area on a flat top basically same height of the hill we were on and we were looking for the furry little guy wherever he might be. We got closer than we wanted but at about 20 feet I could hear it breathing though its nose, John a little later got it in his scope. It was a nice little mountain Lion with its head purched up on a manzanita bush, looking at us. About a minute later we heard another one prob no more than 30 feet from us and it was moving so we decided to just leave and let them be before one of us get mauled or worse one of the girls gets mauled by it.
This shot is from 150 yards shooting clay pigons got them every time (so fun)

People in the ward keep saying that John and I together are hazardous to our health. One of us always gets hurt or something crazy always happens when we are around each other. We were watching Sahara with a group and we were like that is totally us, something always is happening when we are together fooling around. So far I have got two concussions, one of which I blacked out after biffing it in the lake, a swollen eye that was popping out of socket (which John so kindly pushed back into place for me), our little mountain lion adventure, fun times at tollhouse rock and rock climbing and many many more that I cant remember in detail.

Its Getting cold here once again

Well as you can tell I dont really update this Blog very often. Lots going on and I'm staying mighty busy. I can not believe that it is already Novemember once again and getting close to Thanksgiving Day once again. I dont know what I am going to do this year since I am not going to go home for it. I have been thinking of going to the Beach that morning, or going to the mtns and going for a nice little hike of sorts. We will see. All I know is I dont want to be at my bachelor pad for it. I want to be somewhere. I have had a few Thanksgivings alone and dont want that anymore.

So just a recap of whats been going on in my life, I still have been going to the lake and going Wake Boarding. I dont think that will last too much longer with the cold weather and the cold lake.

I started going to the gym between 3-5 days a week and have lost 10 pounds in about 3 weeks, and have gained more muscle which is great and have tons of energy now.

I have recently been hired as the Pilot for Grand Ville homes. I think it will work out great for me. It is kind of a trip thinking that I am the only pilot and that it is all up to me how the flight goes. There safety is in my hands. Crazy!

Summer Is Here

Well,

Summer is here. Months have gone by since I have updated this. This summer has been quite the eventful one. I have been trying to promote my flight school with a new website, which will be up and running in a few days www.fresnoflightschool.com . I have also had a radio ad playing for the last month or so trying to get my name out in the community.

Just recently I got back from the great land of Utah, Where I was able to go to Bryce Canyon for a family reunion and reunite myself with cousins who I have not been able to see in many years. I forgot how much fun they were to be around and how much I have missed them. I hope in the future we can do more camping as a family like we had the opportunity to recently.

I stay quite busy between my three callings that I have. Between being sunday school president, Stake audio visual specialist, and on the emergency response team, church keeps my life busy.

I am also in the process of aquiring two aircraft for the flight school. By doing so I will be able to teach the new LightSport program. This program allows virtually anyone over the age of 17 to fly an aircraft alone or with one other person. This program requires only half the time, and the aircraft are much less expensive to operate allowing me to rent them for much much less to my customers, and in this ecomony that will make a big difference in the flying community.

In December of 08' I moved out of my little apartment into a gigantic house with a friend of mine. I am finally back into a house with a very nice and BIG kitchen. Just the way I like it. I look at this house and see so much of what I would like in the next house but this one does not have everything I want. It does have the sweetest master suite I have ever seen. The walk in closet is bigger than the other bedrooms :)

Today is drawing to an end. This past week I have only been able to acomplish maybe 1/2 of what is on my list so I am waking up early tomorrow to start the day off fresh and on the go, This way I can hopefully get this weeks goals done before thursday.

So long, and enjoy the freedoms that we all have here in america as our independance day draws closer.
