Rain Rain GO AWAY

I'm sorry but this is the weirdest Memorial Day that I have ever encountered. It is raining and overcast, and just blah outside. I might have to wear a sweater today while I go fly. Totally not cool since I have basically put them away. I like summer because its known for the weather..... !!!HOT!!! That means shorts, t-shirt, sun glasses. Maybe a hat. But that messes up my hair (just kidding).

This is one of the first memorial days that I have had to work. It is so weird. I really just want to relax and chill out all day, maybe have a BBQ somewhere with some friends but doesn't look like that will be happening. Looks more like I will be working from about 12:30 till 8 or so tonight. How lame is that. I really wish I had the day off but I need the money.

In a few weeks I will be turning the ripe ole age of 27. How weird is that. Its just that many new grey hairs to look forward too. I will be enjoying my birthday with Laura at six flags :). Ive never been there so it should be fun. I love rollar coasters. They are great. Gives you that weird stomach feeling. I like that feeling.

Ive got a new fish, this weekend, name is hot lips its a red betta. And he is really picky on what he eats. Doesnt like what I have. Guess Ill have to find something that he does. Well Guess I better get ready for the day of work ahead of me!!

YES MY COMPLEX IS GOING TO BE UN-CROWDED

Thats right, summer is here, school is out for summer, that means 3 glorious months of an uncrowded apartment complex. There are 2 seasons that I love while living in my complex (which is right next to Fresno State), I love Christmas break when the kids go home to there parents, and I love Summer cause once again they go home. It is wonderful, no loud music, no partys, nothing. It is glorious times.
Today Laura finished school for the summer. It is a big relief for her, and I am proud of what she has done. She is a great dancer, loves it very much. Now she has all summer to relax from school and prepare for the future semester ahead. To celebrate with her last final today, when she was done we went swimming. The pool is a little chilly at first but oh so nice after a few minutes. After that I went to work for the rest of the day.
Last night was also a fun time. We went to the first $5 country concert of the summer. We saw a total of four groups. They were pretty good, only one thing is that the main act was probrably the worst act. Keith Anderson wasnt the greatest, he just didnt seem all that into it. A few of the singers were my age which really was weird.

!Relaxin at the Concert is great!

Also today we hit the first triple digit day of the year, A whopping 100 degrees. It will be interesting to see how many days in a row we go this year with triple digits.

Love this photo.

I feel sorry for those in big city's. It would be very difficult for me to live in a big city. I know I could do it but I must say that it would be hard. I dont like driving in them and I cant spend to much time in them before i go mad, and start losing my mind. First city that comes to mind is San Francisco, next up is LA. Its even crazy flying over the LA area the San Fran area.

Well enjoy the day

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers and those who will become mothers.

Today is a glorious day today, and guess what we talked about in church today. All about mothers, it was pretty good. RIght now I am sitting on the couch and looking outside and it seems wonderful out there. It makes me feel like I should go on a walk, and feel the gentle breeze outside, and get some fresh air (atleast as fresh as fresno gets).

Only one thing is missing today and that is my mother. I kinda feel like I am on my mission and only able to call my mother and not see her. Of course this is the way it as been for the past few years since my parents have moved out of California and into Arizona. As sad as it was to not have them as close as before, I love there new house. They are living there dream now which is wonderful.

I was looking through my pictures today and found some of my favorite pictures. I found a picture of my family, it was taken quite awhile ago but its one of my favorites

I also found a picture of me next to a really cool plane. I think I look pretty good in this picture if I say so myself

and the plane that I get to fly from time to time

We cant forget the one fish tank that I want in my house
Lets say helloooooooooo the coolest in house reef tank
1500 gallons

About a month ago Laura and I were able to sneak away for an afternoon flight and we went over to Harris Ranch for lunch. I love going there and was always going with my students but she always had to work so she was unable to go. I always wanted her there and a few times my students were wondering when she was going to go with us. But as she has never been available to go I decided just to take her myself and fly out there. It was a lot of fun, and hope that she really enjoyed it, I know I did. And with all that fun, we took some photos along the way to share with all ya'll.

Laura and I are taxing down to the runway and mind you this is a very basic airplane

Here we are getting ready to turn on final for the runway

One last turn and we will be down on the ground
Hopefully softly :)

Well we got down safely and had a great lunch

WHile we are here might as well enjoy the Pavilion
Isnt she cute

Those summer days and summer nights

My oh my, Summer brings so much fun. I am totally stoked about summer being here. Yesterday after going into the pool in the valley, and laura headed off to work. I decided that I would go up to a friends house in the Mountains. They have become pretty much family to me. It was a glorious day up there and hopefully one day I will be able to live in a place much like that. Its right below shaver and feels great all year around. Its at 5000 feet. Yesterday when I went up it was just warm enough not to need a long sleeve shirt (this makes me very happy) Only problem the entire time was that the mosquitos were out and I hate them, they love me though thats for sure. We went swimming in there pool which was not at all as warm as my pool. It took a lot of coorsion to get me in there, but I did it and it was fun.

Its just a little bit cold in the water today.

Mile High Pool Gang!!

After staying in the pool for awhile we decided to get out and go check out some foot prints of a black bear that lives in the woods next to there house. I was amazed at how big those foot prints were. It was cool to follow the tracks around there orchard.

Also they have a tractor that I got to use which was cool. Never driven one of those before.
Was pretty easy to haul stuff around with that machine

Lets not forget having a little bit of fun while in the Mountains. Dirt biking is so much fun. I love going and cannot wait to buy my own bike so that I can go riding more often with these guys. We go down through Jose Basin from there house and go ride for a few hours and come back or go from there house and dirt bike out to shaver which is about 2 or so hour ride. grab lunch and then come back. Such a blast. looking forward to it this summer and fall very very much.

I think summer nights are great though. The last few nights I have been able to leave my bedroom window open all night long. It is great to just lay there with a sheet over my feet, if that is covered I have no problem falling asleep. It is great. It will be even greater when its 80 degrees outside and 11:00 at night.

Well all and all I am happy that summer is here, and here to stay for the next few months.

Well I guess it is time to get ready for church and get out there. I just love Sundays. Best day of the week is going to Church and I get to sit next to Laura today :)

Summer is finally here

Well the summer is here. Laura and I took the first swim of the summer today. It was very nice. I am so happy that we have had some warm hot days to get the pool all nice and warmer. It was still a bit chilly. It took my breath away but it was still very nice and easy to get acustumed to. That first swim reminded me of my first dives out in Hawaii. Those dives I want to do more often. I cant wait to go on my dive cruise. Only problem is that I dont know when I am going to have the money to go. Its one whole week of diving and living on a boat in the bahammas. It shall be fun when I get to do it. Its also a thousand dollars to get out there. But I thought I would put up some diving shots of me in Hawaii.
Two thumbs up for hawaii Diving :)

My boss and I while we were on our trip took lots of pictures. It was so much fun too. Cant wait to go back and dive there again

I love the fish that they have in the tropical oceans. So colorful. Cant wait to have my own tropical paridise in my house aka saltwater reef tank.

Wish I was this kid

Late nights = deep thought

Last night as I was laying here wondering what to write I came to the conclusion that when you tired your mind will wonder, not in the wild blue mind you but just wonder and you will stare at the same thing for an hour and not move a muscle. Then once you do you dont have a clue where you wondered off too.

This is what happened to me last night. I was in the process of writing a post and walah I found myself transfixed on the screen, my legs not wanting to move, my fingers on the keyboard wanting to type but couldnt. After awhile I went into lala land contemplating what nots and do dads. Then I snapped out about an hour later, and hardley remember a thing. How strange is that.

Anyways I am about to go have breakfast with Laura, I dont have to go into work today until around noon or 1 o'clock. Work is pretty slow right now but hopefully it picks up soon.

Laura and I will be going to the first country concert of the season this coming wednesday. I got tickets for us last week. I think it will be a lot of fun. They always are, this time I get to do it with someone that I love. I think it will be just the two of us too. Yee haa for date.

Spring is here which is wonderful, I like the warmth that comes with it, day time its not extremlely hot, perfect for walks.

My garden is doing alright, Oh and yes I made a 3x5 garden with melons tomatoes and peppers and lettuce. Nothing producing quite yet but hopefully soon.

Think its time for Breakfast

Its never to late to try again

Well here it is a wonderful thursday night, and I have not posted in many moons. So here we go. A little about the title. I figured that since I am a pilot, and my office is the Wild Blue Yonder, I would be mostly updating people and telling you all about the adventures of the sky bound young Scott (as many of the old timers at the airport like to call me.)

It has been an interesting year thus far. I just finished my semester at UVSC, I am now considered a sophmore in the Aviation degree program. It feels really weird to be going to college but not actually setting foot on the campus. Many times I feel that I am missing out in the college experience, going to Institute, meeting people on campus, finding new friends. Instead I am hopping onto my trusty laptop where I log on and never see a single soul. I may see some pictures of some dead people who have died in the early years of aviation. Oh well ehh.

At the same time I feel happy not to have to go to college. I set my own time when I want to do my classwork, I can do it pretty much anywhere which helps in my line of work. I can do it in the AM or the PM. Many people are jelous. I myself am sometimes jelous of them.

Its a give take situation.

I have many goals for the summer. I want to walk everyday for atleast an hour (which will give me roughly 3 miles of walking per day). I recently purchased an I-Pod something that I told myself I would never do. You know what though, I love it. I use it all the time, I have music as well as video on it. Less filling, works great :). I also want to get into shape so that I can do some good hiking by the end of summer early fall. This may sound stupid and probrably is but a few years back Micah and a few other guys went out on a crazy 50 mile hike and did it in one day. I want to do that now. (see told you it was stupid, okay not stupid but insane, crazy, in the words of space balls Ludicrious speed)

This past weekend was great Laura and I went to the Bay Area and stayed with Mark and Gretchen for the weekend. We had a simply Marvelous time up there. On Friday afternoon we headed out of Fresno and up to Oakland where we were able to visit with Mark and Gretchen.

Laura had a Dance workshop that she went to for school while we were up there. Although it was all night friday and all day saturday I still saw her which was wonderful. We have been dating now for 8 months as today (thursday the eigth, yes I know its friday now but I still have not gone to bed so its still thursday) Amazing how time flys! We are having a wonderful time dating and enjoying being with one another. Infact she just moved down the street from me. How cool is this, I can walk to her new place in 3 minutes flat, although its not much of a walk its still that much more exercise I get. And even better than having that 3 minute walk, I get to see her that much faster :).

Now back to the weekend, Each day I took her to and from her dance workshop. It was in berkeley that I took her. Talk about an old town, on the way up everything was fine until we reached Berkley it self. Talk about an old town, everything was squished together. Just totally not my favorite place to be driving. Infact I got lost, and I did what every man swears he wont do and that is ask for directions (such an un-manly thing to do). I bit my lip and walked in with my head down scraping my feet on the floor and looking like egor from frankinstien, physc not really how it happened but I did ask for directions and we were almost right on target as far as where to go and I didnt even know it. But long story shorter i got her to her place where she met up with all her other dance friends and I went to the bathroom (got to remember that Scott + Lemonade= Scott has to pee very soon and often for the next few hours) I dont know what is with that stuff but it just goes straight through me. I peed in Los Banos where we stopped for lunch I stopped at the rest stop outside of tracy and then peed again when I dropped Laura off in berkley and then once more when I got to Marks house. Wowsers.

Anyways now getting out of Berkley was a story in itself. I could find plenty of onramps to go north but going south nope, not where I looked. n
