Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers and those who will become mothers.

Today is a glorious day today, and guess what we talked about in church today. All about mothers, it was pretty good. RIght now I am sitting on the couch and looking outside and it seems wonderful out there. It makes me feel like I should go on a walk, and feel the gentle breeze outside, and get some fresh air (atleast as fresh as fresno gets).

Only one thing is missing today and that is my mother. I kinda feel like I am on my mission and only able to call my mother and not see her. Of course this is the way it as been for the past few years since my parents have moved out of California and into Arizona. As sad as it was to not have them as close as before, I love there new house. They are living there dream now which is wonderful.

I was looking through my pictures today and found some of my favorite pictures. I found a picture of my family, it was taken quite awhile ago but its one of my favorites

I also found a picture of me next to a really cool plane. I think I look pretty good in this picture if I say so myself

and the plane that I get to fly from time to time

We cant forget the one fish tank that I want in my house
Lets say helloooooooooo the coolest in house reef tank
1500 gallons

About a month ago Laura and I were able to sneak away for an afternoon flight and we went over to Harris Ranch for lunch. I love going there and was always going with my students but she always had to work so she was unable to go. I always wanted her there and a few times my students were wondering when she was going to go with us. But as she has never been available to go I decided just to take her myself and fly out there. It was a lot of fun, and hope that she really enjoyed it, I know I did. And with all that fun, we took some photos along the way to share with all ya'll.

Laura and I are taxing down to the runway and mind you this is a very basic airplane

Here we are getting ready to turn on final for the runway

One last turn and we will be down on the ground
Hopefully softly :)

Well we got down safely and had a great lunch

WHile we are here might as well enjoy the Pavilion
Isnt she cute

Those summer days and summer nights

My oh my, Summer brings so much fun. I am totally stoked about summer being here. Yesterday after going into the pool in the valley, and laura headed off to work. I decided that I would go up to a friends house in the Mountains. They have become pretty much family to me. It was a glorious day up there and hopefully one day I will be able to live in a place much like that. Its right below shaver and feels great all year around. Its at 5000 feet. Yesterday when I went up it was just warm enough not to need a long sleeve shirt (this makes me very happy) Only problem the entire time was that the mosquitos were out and I hate them, they love me though thats for sure. We went swimming in there pool which was not at all as warm as my pool. It took a lot of coorsion to get me in there, but I did it and it was fun.

Its just a little bit cold in the water today.

Mile High Pool Gang!!

After staying in the pool for awhile we decided to get out and go check out some foot prints of a black bear that lives in the woods next to there house. I was amazed at how big those foot prints were. It was cool to follow the tracks around there orchard.

Also they have a tractor that I got to use which was cool. Never driven one of those before.
Was pretty easy to haul stuff around with that machine

Lets not forget having a little bit of fun while in the Mountains. Dirt biking is so much fun. I love going and cannot wait to buy my own bike so that I can go riding more often with these guys. We go down through Jose Basin from there house and go ride for a few hours and come back or go from there house and dirt bike out to shaver which is about 2 or so hour ride. grab lunch and then come back. Such a blast. looking forward to it this summer and fall very very much.

I think summer nights are great though. The last few nights I have been able to leave my bedroom window open all night long. It is great to just lay there with a sheet over my feet, if that is covered I have no problem falling asleep. It is great. It will be even greater when its 80 degrees outside and 11:00 at night.

Well all and all I am happy that summer is here, and here to stay for the next few months.

Well I guess it is time to get ready for church and get out there. I just love Sundays. Best day of the week is going to Church and I get to sit next to Laura today :)
